Custom spur gear
Involute profile, with as many teeth as you need
Straight-tooth cylindrical gear with the same involute profile used by commercial gears: it's the only curve that keeps rotation constant even if the shafts move slightly farther apart, which is exactly what happens with two printed parts mounted on a printed support. Tell us the module, number of teeth and shaft hole. The teeth are already thinned with the clearance we've measured on our machines, so the pair turns as soon as you assemble it and there's no sanding needed. For two gears to mesh, they only need the same module and pressure angle, and the shaft distance is module × (teeth on one + teeth on the other) ÷ 2.
