High-impact polystyrene, lightweight and easy to sand and paint. Its main advantage is that it dissolves in limonene, so on the X1 Carbon with AMS we use it as soluble support for ABS on geometries that are impossible to remove by hand.

PETG if it needs to handle rain and moderate sun, ASA if it will live outdoors permanently without losing colour.
It will get hot
Annealed PLA 3D870 up to around 95 °C, ABS or ASA up to around 100 °C, and polycarbonate above 110 °C.
It needs to bend or absorb impacts
TPU 95A. It is the only elastomer in the catalogue: flexible, elastic and with very high tear resistance.
